| Leslie Consulting’s MAX Product Team have recently been awarded an order by BMA Saraji Mine for the supply of two MAX Dragline Watchdog systems, complete with 12 months service agreement and boom point camera, for draglines DRE13 & DRE18 (Marion 8050). | ![]() |
The decision by Saraji to proceed with MAX was based on Leslie Consulting’s proven dragline experience with fatigue stress monitors across 8 draglines within the BMA fleet, and Leslie Consulting’s ability to meet a tight delivery and install programme based around shutdowns of the draglines. |

Leslie Consulting assembled the 2 units, then delivered, installed, commissioned and conducted operator training, covering both units, all within 6 weeks from receipt of order. |

Both MAX Dragline Watchdog systems are now operational on DRE13 & DRE18, providing real time data and interpretation, providing information on potential damage from boom, hoist, drag and suspension. The MAX Dragline Watchdog System “ASKS THE DRAGLINE”, 24/7, and provides production, maintenance and operations with information that will enable the mine to maximise production, minimise stress and manage the risk. Coupled with design initiatives for dragline buckets, and with 13 MAX units now installed in Australia/South Africa, Leslie Consulting is a market leader and well placed within the coal mining sector to provide optimised solutions for the effective management of draglines. |
