Australian Government - Registered Research Agency (RRA)

An important part of the Government's commitment to Research and Development (R&D) is facilitating access by small and medium sized companies to expert R&D services, particularly those residing in public sector research organisations.

LC Engineering has been established as a registered research agency which means we are approved by Innovation Australia as being capable of performing contracted R&D, in a number of classes of research activity.


LC provides a broad range of engineering services to the following mining, research and industry organisations:


CQMS RAZER is an Australian company which supplies mining equipment, parts, tools and materials to mines around the world. LC has been partnered with CQMS RAZER for more than a decade, providing exclusive engineering services covering R&D, design, production, manufacturing, field investigations and quality control.


LC Engineering provides services and assistance to HDAL's engineering group on a broad range of mechanical engineering services.


LC Engineering provides mechanical engineering services ranging from detailed design and analysis through to tailored machine and condition monitoring to Wesfarmers Curragh Mine.


Hydrexia uses novel hydride materials to make low pressure hydrogen storage systems with high storage densities that are safer and cost less than existing compressed gas systems. LC Engineering provides assistance to Hydrexia in enabling designs.


Allclass Construction Equipment are a leading mini excavator dealer in Queensland. LC Engineering provides assistance to Allclass in enabling designs through key R&D projects.


Gemco Rail specialises in the manufacture of rail products and provision of maintenance services to national rail operators. LC has assisted with engineering services on some of their key projects.


LC has provided Cristal Mining with engineering design and troubleshooting serivces on some of their large equipment works.

BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance

BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is Australia's largest coal producer and a leader in the international coal industry, accounting for more than a quarter of Australia's annual coal exports and 28% of the world's seaborne trade in metallurgical coal.

Rio Tinto

Rio Tinto is an international mining corporation with activities in more than 40 countries. Rio Tinto is a world leader in finding, mining and processing the earth's mineral resources.


Ludowici is an Australian company which offers innovative new technologies and products worldwide, primarily for the minerals processing industry.


LC have worked closely with Kador to develop and design many of the water tank and service truck bodies.

Anglo Coal

Anglo Coal is one of Australia's leading coal producers, supplying coal worldwide.

LC supplies Anglo coal with a number of services including:


Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.


Energex is one of the largest electricity corporations in Australia. ENERGEX's gas and electricity networks now span nearly 25,000 square kilometres throughout South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Fraser Coast Regional Council

LC has provided Fraser Coast Regional Council with a report on proposed solutions to reduce carbon footprint of existing energy generation systems and proposed sewerage systems on World Heritage listed Fraser Island off the Queensland coast. [Download Case Study PDF]

Engineering Design and Drafting Service Pty Ltd (EDDS) is one of Brisbane's leading designers of mobile plant and equipment.


MineWare Pty Ltd provide the mining industry with sophisticated electrical and software technologies.

CMD, an Industrial Design consultancy firm, specialises in the design and development of products for a broad range of industries.


GBI operates a scale test facility for providing cost-effective evaluations of plant and equipment.

The University of Queensland

UQ Quest maintains and operates the LC fifth wheel and towball testing apparatus. The apparatus is used to perform both static and fatigue testing on both heavy and light vehicle towing components, as a part of Australian Standard Certifications.

The University of Southern Queensland

USQ co-sponsor and assist LC with the development and implementation of LC's "Indigineering" - youth skills development community program through USQ's Centre for Australian Indigenous Knowledges.
